WHOEVER YOU ARE, WHEREVER YOU’RE FROM
If you’re searching for hope or wrestling with doubt. Whether you call yourself a Christian, an atheist, a skeptic, or something in-between. Or perhaps you come from another religious background. Welcome. We’re glad you’ve found us.
We truly believe each local church (that is: a group of Christians in a particular place) should be a place where honest questions can be asked. And we don’t presume to have all the answers. In fact, we don’t think anyone does. But we do believe that Jesus holds the answers to our questions. So, in the interest of full disclosure, if you ask us big questions, you’ll probably find we end up talking about Him most of the time. In fact, if you’d like to speak over the phone or in person, please let us know by filling out the contact form over on our connect page.
TOUGH QUESTIONS…HONEST QUESTIONS
By far, the best way to answer questions about who Jesus is, why he came, and why he matters is to look at how Jesus himself answers those questions in the Bible.
The New Testament (the second half of the Bible) contains four accounts of his life (called ‘gospels’, which just means ‘Good News’). The four accounts are: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and they are the best place to start discovering who Jesus is. You can start to read them at this website or by downloading the Bible app. If you’d like a physical copy, we’d love to give you one! Fill out the contact form over on our connect page and make sure to check the box under Areas of Interest that says, “Jesus and Christianity”. Lastly, before you start reading, take a quick peek at our short ‘How To: Read A Gospel’ guide.
With that said, we understand that there may be specific questions you’re wrestling with. If that’s the case, please keep scrolling to see what Jesus has to say about them. The answers we’re able to give in this space are short, so please read them as an introduction. Also, we’d like to note that most of the material is taken from ‘Good Question’ (Laferton, The Good Book Company, 2011) and used by kind permission. We’ve also included links at the bottom of each page for further investigation.
