DAY 1

  • Read Rom. 6:23. What does sinning earn us?

  • Read Rom. 3:23-26. Who has earned it (v23)? What is the gift we receive (v24)? How do we receive it (v25)?

  • According to Eph. 2:1 and Rom. 6:17, why couldn’t we save ourselves?

  • Read Heb. 10:12-14 and 1 John 2:2. How many times did Jesus need to die? For who’s sins did he die?

DAY 2

  • Read 2 Cor. 5:21 and 1 Pet. 2:22-24. Listen to How Deep The Father’s Love For Us by Austin Stone Worship. Spend some time meditating and reflecting on what Christ did for you at the cross.

  • Read Rom. 12:1. What is the proper response to Jesus sacrifice? Have you wholly surrendered your life to Jesus? Is there any aspect or part of your life that you are holding back? What’s stopping you?

DAY 3

  • Read John 10:11-17. What does the Good Shepherd do (v11)? Who made Jesus lay down his life (v17-18)? Jesus says that he knows his own sheep and his sheep know him (v14) and they know his voice (v16). Spend a few minutes thanking the Lord Jesus that you know him and, more importantly, are known by him.

DAY 4

  • 1 Peter 3v19 is a hard verse, it probably means that Christ through Noah preached to those who were disobedient and who are now spirits in prison.

  • Look at the most important phrase “the patience of God” and read Rom 2:4 and 2 Pet. 3:9. How did God lead you to repentance?

DAY 5

  • Read Matt. 28:18-20. What command did Jesus give to his disciples?

  • Read Rom. 6:1-11. What spiritual reality does water baptism represent? How is Jesus resurrection central to this reality?

  • Read Acts 2:24, Rom. 1:4, 1 Cor. 15:17. How do we know for certain that Jesus once-for-all sacrifice was effective?

DAY 6

  • Read Rom. 8:34 and Heb. 7:23-25. What is Jesus doing in heaven now?

  • Read John 14:1-4. Where was Jesus going? According to John 16:7, why is it better that he goes? How is the Holy Spirit described?

  • Eph. 5:18 commands us to be “filled with the Spirit”, meaning to be under His control. Are you filled with the Spirit? Do you exhibit the Fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23).

DAY 7

  • Read 1 Cor. 15:27, Eph. 1:21-22, and Col. 2:15 about Jesus power and authority.

  • Listen to O Praise the Name by Shane & Shane. Spend some time worshipping your Lord and Saviour for his great victory over sin and death!
